How information is prepared
We use legislation, rules, official forms, court and public-authority websites, notifications and other primary materials relevant to the topic. Where a procedure can change, readers should check the latest official notice, portal or authority instruction before acting.
Useful primary sources include India Code, the Election Commission of India and the Voters’ Services Portal.
Authorship and review
Articles are published under the Kolkata Legal Service name. We do not attribute an article to an individual advocate, or claim individual professional review, unless that attribution is accurate and can be verified. Pages are updated when we identify a material legal, procedural or factual change.
